Playing The Lottery Online can Be Exciting And Convenient

July 6th, 2011

The attractions of playing the lottery are many and various. If the lottery is something you have never really been involved in in the past, then it is actually incredibly easy to pick up. The most basic and the most popular lottery games are based on guessing numbers you hope will pop up in draw made at random.

One of the great things about the lottery at the moment is the sheer number of games you can play. In the past, only the basic Lotto draw was available for players in the UK, but now the EuroMillions game has opened up even more opportunities in terms of jackpots.

You should also keep in mind that both the Euromillions draw and the main Lotto draw happen twice a week, so you effectively have four chances to win big money in just seven days. The Euromillions draw has proved really successful in recent times because it has dished out huge jackpots – some clocking in at over 100m!

It also helps that the lottery is so much more accessible nowadays than in the past. It was once the case that you could only enjoy the lottery if you bought a paper ticket from a local shop or supermarket. Of course, nowadays people play the lottery online as well.

There are a number of benefits to using the internet to play the lottery. Firstly, it is more convenient. You can buy your lottery ticket whenever it occurs to you. Secondly, backing up your lottery ticket online means that it is stored nice and securely in case you win.

Part of the excitement of playing the lottery online comes from the extra games there are available. If you like the sound of winning big money on the main draws, or you enjoy the chance to win instantly on smaller applications online, then it makes sense to explore some of the opportunities currently available.

Customers brand online shopping a ‘chore’ so it’s back to the High Street

Britain’s online supermarkets such as Ocado, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda are considered to be among the most sophisticated of their kind in the world and have seen sales rise impressively in recent years.

Unfortunately drawbacks such as waiting for deliveries or substitutions when products are out of stock are a few of the reasons why shoppers are returning to the aisles.

It has been suggested that online supermarkets could find ways of tying customers in by making some special offers only available online and  replacing delivery charges with a monthly subscription.

Real coffee – the best way to start the day

Posted by Jasmine
April 2nd, 2011

When you’re out shopping, part of the enjoyment comes from that moment when you decide enough is enough and you need a good real coffee and a sit down… At work, too, they’ve ditched the instant and invested in one of those super-duper Flavia coffee brewers, and once you’ve tasted real coffee it’s hard to go back to the granules…

But when I decided to try and get a machine for home, I realised there are so many different systems (and prices) that it’s hard to know the difference or what’s best.

I decided first of all I didn’t want a filter coffee machine – might as well just get a cafetière for that! So I started to look at espresso makers, but they can be quite expensive and have all the features of a coffee bar machine. I eventually decided to go for a cheaper stove top coffee maker and to get my caffeine fix from the Flavia machine at work!

The majority of lottery games are really simple and they tend to be based on guessing a few numbers that with a little luck will appear in a random draw later on.

Lots of factors appeal to lottery players, but perhaps the most important of the current form is the fantastic range of games there are available to play. The Lotto draw used to be the only lottery games that fans could enjoy, but since then more games have been devised, including the Euromillions.

You should also keep in mind that both the Euromillions draw and the main Lotto draw happen twice a week, so you effectively have four chances to win big money in just seven days. The Euromillions draw has proved really successful in recent times because it has dished out huge jackpots – some clocking in at over 100m!

The lottery is also a good deal more accessible than it used to be. In the past, in order to play the lottery you had to visit your local shop to have your ticket printed off. Nowadays it is possible to play the lottery online wherever you are.

There are a number of benefits to using the internet to play the lottery. Firstly, it is more convenient. You can buy your lottery ticket whenever it occurs to you. Secondly, backing up your lottery ticket online means that it is stored nice and securely in case you win.

Playing the lottery online is good fun because it allows you to explore other opportunities to win money. So if you could do with an extra bit of cash or you want to put yourself in with a chance of winning millions, now is definitely the time to start familiarising yourself with the games out there.

Most of us now have our Christmas money and are ready to hit the sales, but it can be a real hassle trying to battle the crowds to find exactly what it is you want. If you’re not careful you can end up coming home with things you don’t want, just because they seemed to be a bargain.

To make your shopping experience better and quicker why not consider a personal shopper? Most of the big stores provide this service and they can help you to find exactly what it is you want without all the hassle. It’s certainly a stress free option.

Best Buys Before VAT Rise

Posted by Chloe
December 28th, 2010

The VAT is set to rise from 17.5% to 20% on January 4th. This is only a rise of 2.5 % but it will make a big difference on some items.

So what should you buy now, so that you make sure you can save some money before the rise. Well the items where you will feel the savings the most are on large items such as cars and big electrical items such as TVs and laptops, and with the post Christmas sale now in full swing there are definitely bargains to be had, and if you want to beat the busy high street there’s always online shopping.

What To Do With Christmas Presents You Don’t Want

Posted by Jack
December 27th, 2010

It’s the same every year, people are so hard to buy for, which means that unfortunately you’re bound to get some presents that you don’t really want. But, one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure, so rather than let your unwanted presents gather dust in the corners of your room why not consider the alternatives.

It can be ungrateful to ask for receipts for gifts to take them back the store, so think about selling your gifts on ebay, or on other online auction sites.

Even better, why not give your gifts to a charity shop, where they can be used to raise money for lots of good causes.

The After Christmas Sales Start

Posted by Jasmine
December 26th, 2010

It has been well reported that the High street stores have not been doing so well this Christmas, but if the post Christmas sales are anything to go by then the stores could just find themselves ending the year on a high.

There were crowds queuing at Selfridges in London today and when the store finally opened its doors at 11am there was a rampage of shoppers rushing to get into the stores.

Many shoppers are hoping to beat the VAT rise which goes up to 20% in early January. Me I’d rather stay at home and enjoy the Christmas movies rather than braving the cold and all the busy shops.
