Clothes swap

June 22nd, 2010

How about this then – shopping that doesn’t cost you a penny!

Just been talking to a friend and tonight she’s going to a clothes swap party.  Bascially you pick 5 items of clothing that you no longer require from your own wardrobe, take them along, put them on display and then chose 5 items from the selection available from what other people have taken.

Actually you do have to spend something – £10 which goes to charity but you can get a whole new outfit for that – how fab.

Great if you know that everyone else normally shops at designer stores, disaster if it’s going to be old tat. But the way forward if you can’y afford a proper shop on the high street.

Something a bit different…

Posted by Jasmine
June 7th, 2010

When you’ve been friends with someone for a longtime it gets increasingly difficult to think of a present that you haven’t already bought or of something that’s a little bit different.

It’s my best mates birthday this month she’s just having her garden revamped by having a new patio and a bit of landscaping done.  So although I don’t normally like buying housey things as there not personal,  I have found a hanging Friendship ball which is made from 20% recycled glass. This will hang in her garden and catch the light as the sun shines on it which will make a bit of a sparkle and lighten up the garden!

It’s a bargain price too at under £10 – lets hope she likes it?!

Sex in the City style

Posted by Jasmine
June 4th, 2010

The second movie is finally here after a long 2 year wait.

The premier has been held and then there was an after party held at Claridges.

Lots of lady celebrities went along and I have to say the dresses which were worn were amazing.  I loved the one worn by the fabulous Amanda Holden – it was all pink and fluffy and she had sparkly dimante shoes to match and I think she looked like a princess!

SJP dress left her looking a little on the thin size and just seemed to hand off her and quite worrying that she’s actually going to fade away or fall down a crack in the pavement if she’s not careful. The other 3 ‘Sex in the city’ ladies all look fabulous however.

I can’t wait to see this film

Boys a few rules for you too!

Posted by Jasmine
June 2nd, 2010

As much as girls can sometimes over step the mark on fake tan and or the clothes they wear boys too seem to have a sudden fashion disaster when the sun comes out too!

So boys a few rules for you too;

  • Please please please no socks of any description to be worn with sandals or flip flops
  • Football shorts stay on the football pitch
  • If you have the body flaunt it by going topless but if not keep it stylishly covered with a linen shirt or a cotton vest.
  • Speedos whether your on the beech or in your garden are just not acceptable!

Other than that enjoy the sunshine!

Summer is here!

Posted by Jasmine
June 1st, 2010

OK,  all you ladies out there, summer is here – I think?  Well we had some sun for a few days – it seems to have dissappeared but I’m sure it will be back!

A few rules for summer please girls;

  • Please do not wear leggings – it’s far too hot and honestly they look ridiculous
  • Fake tan is not applied with care looks like you have been tangoed – we all want our  white legs to look bronzed when we have the chance to get them out – but be careful which brand you buy and apply with utmost attention!
  • Cropped tops are a definite NO if you haven’t the torso to show them off – rolls of tummy fat do not look nice.

We can all look nice and fresh and keep cool – linen is one of the best things to buy and wear in summer – it may crease but all ladies of any age, size or clour can wear it and look fabulous!

Great Gifts for Valentine’s Day

Posted by Chloe
February 14th, 2010

Typical Valentine’s Day gifts include chocolates and flowers, and although both are much appreciated (I mean who doesn’t like the lovely smell of flowers and the sweet taste of chocolate) they are very predictable. If you’re are looking to do something different for your girlfriend this Valentine’s Day then why not think outside the box. It doesn’t even have to be a big expensive gesture, and some internet sites have great ideas. For instance, why not try buying personalised retro sweets or love hearts, or if you’re looking to get more than one gift why not go for a hamper.

Valentines hampers are a great idea. You can often choose what gifts you would like included within them, so you can make them as cheap or as expensive as you want. The basic ones tend to include a valentines teddy, a bottle of wine, chocolates and sometimes even strawberries. The more expensive hampers can include champagne, a variety of fruit and chocolate, candles and biscuits.

If all else fails why not create a hamper of your own filing it with all the things your girlfriend will love and you will be well on your way to a happy Valentine’s Day.

February 12th, 2010

At this time of year people have already bought there calendars for the new year. Whether your tastes are in movie stars like Robert Pattinson or Pop Stars like Westlife there is a range of calendars out there for you to choose from. Personalised calendars are also popular and you can get your favourite characters, colours and much more if that’s what you are after! Sometimes you can find discount calendars down your local highstreet but other times you may find the best prices online.

Depending on your preference there will always be a place for you to find the latest and greatest calendars on the market. Being such a bespoke product allows shops to sell a wide range of themes for calendars. The season for buying calenders is now before the year really kicks off so get down the highstreet or shop online today!

Personally I have a calendar of McFly, they haven’t been doing much recently in the music world but they are still good to have hanging on the wall! They also have a new album coming out later this year with a lot of songs collaborating with Taio Cruz. So if you fancy your own personalised calendar then get out there and get one while the year is still young!

Next Clothing

January 7th, 2010

When it comes to work i hate buying clothes to wear for it as on a Saturday night i would not go out in a pinstriped pencil skirt and white blouse!

Its hard though as i don’t want to wear something tacky but i don’t want to spend a fortune that’s why i love Next for work clothes it ticks every box; quality material, affordable and fashionable! Unlike Warehouse and French Connection where you could be spending around £85.00 for a work dress you can get one for half the price at Next that looks just as good.

Next caters for all ages its funny as me, my mum and my nan all shop there for our work clothes now but that proves just how good it is!
